Teachers' Day (1-Sep-2010)

Been sometime since I blogged :-) blame it on the exams!! Barely turned on the computer in 2months :-P and I'm blogging through my iPhone too -.- it isn't easy ya' know -.- ok, firstly, my school celebrated "Teachers' Day", on Tuesday..instead of the usual customary trip to the movie theater (my school always brings the students & teachers to catch a movie at Lido, Shaw Center) we stayed back in school, and had more interaction between the students & teachers, through sports and games. There were also 2 movies screened in school itself, and they were 'Invictus' (which was screened in the Drama Theatre in school), and 'Planet 51' (which was screened in the school's Concert Hall)..I watched 'Planet 51' :-) wasn't that bad a movie :-P enjoyed it. As the day came to an end (at 11.30am), our principal gave the closing prayer (it's a mission school, and we start and end activities with a prayer..) I then went to see my various teachers to give them small gifts which I've bought for them :-) 

Singfest 2010!! Day 2, 4 Aug

It's been quite a while since I updated this blog :-P *exams and school caught up with me X-D anyways! I went for Singfest on the 4th of Aug 2010, with a good friend who REALLY WANTED TO GO FOR IT. Jully Black, Diane Birch, Lupe Fiasco, Kool & The Gang, and last but not least, Kanye West, were performing (played in this sequence) :-D..Jully Black & Diane Birch were unexpectedly good. Lupe Fiasco on the other hand..kinda brought life into the concert with awesome rapping & fast heart thumping beats! He ended his turn with 'Superstar', one of my all time faves :-) Kool & The Gang came up after him. They were OK, but didn't really appeal much to people of my age (I'm 16 by the way..), but more to those of their generation :-P cept for 'Celebration', now that was the only song I liked. Kanye West was up after Kool & The Gang!! But since he took too long to get all his stuff set up, and that it was already 1.30am! VK and I went to get a drink, Whig was rather expensive -.- $5 for a 500ml bottle of coke!! Wth!! But I bought them anyways..then, we left. Not to mention that her eyes were starting to 'puff' up a little :-P made her look MORE OF THE VERY HOMELY TYPE OF GIRL (HER SHORT HAIR WAS THE CAUSE OF IT..I THINK)..and!! I also had my English exams just a couple of hours away!! Haha! So in the end, I managed to only watch 1 out of the 2 hip hop artists perform (missed Kanye West's performance)..but I can say that I had great company to compensate for that. Oh oh! I also saw a group of my friends who were 'spying' on us (well, they are guys..from an all boys school (ACS BARKER ROAD) ) so you'll more or less know what type of SOCIAL ANIMALS WE ARE..hehe! And I also saw my history teacher too.. END OF STORY! PeAcE!

Singfest!!!!

I seriously can't believe it!! I half expected to win tix to Singfest!!! well, I entered a small draw, which was rather simple to do (had to just text the name of any band/singer which performed at the previous Singfest). By the way, I just sent the text messages for fun, but hell yeah!! what's more?! I'm going for the performances which are on the first day (Tokio hotel & Katy Perry would be performing on the first day ^^ )!! hmm...and I'll be going with YELLOW! P.S. HOPE SHE ISN'T GONNA BE HER CRAZY SELF ON THAT DAY ;-p

LIFE'S Troubles (as of now?)

For the past week, I've noticed that I've been bombarded with work from school, on top of my tennis trainings, and tuition etc etc. As a result, I'm BLARDY SLEEP DEPRIVED!!!! been sleeping at around 3.30am for the past week or so, could sleep earlier, but that would mean that I have to skip my homework and all, and with the exams looming ahead, it isn's in any way, a good idea -.- Sleeping in class, not being able to understand anything that's taught (or as I like to say it, "I DON'T CATCH BALLS!!")...getting SHIT grades, not having the appetite to eat (I sleep or take a nap whenever I can..like during recess, and breaks...lost 3Kgs in like 5 days!), are STARTING TO BE A COMMON AFFAIR!! AND IT SUCKS! really not looking forward to this month, seriously...GOD! HELP ME T.T

A Very Contradicting, yet FUN "Morning" In School...

This took place at about..err..8.30am, yesterday (14th July 2010..I think. The fire alarm went off, and an announcement was made over the PA system, to all classes that it was a FIRE DRILL. As per normal, my class of 18 (its a rather small class :-P ) made our way to the student activity center, which was like outside the school (we were the first sec4 class to reach the place too!) It was still quite humid then, with the sun high above (it was a killer). Finally, after 1/2 an hour, we were asked to return to our classes. (NOW COMES THE FUNNY PART..) As we were leaving the compound, what seemed like a typical Singapore weather (hot & humid), changed...and it started to literally RAIN HEAVILY!! So my friends and I just took our own sweet time ( WE'RE GUYS, GOT TO EXPECT THIS KINDA STUFF..), strolling under the rain (luckily I had another pair of uniform and shoes in my locker ^^) , drenched from head to toe...my school (ACS Barker Road)is rather big, so it took us quite a while to get back to our class...the moment we reached class, my friends and I were like, "We're wet, from head to toe...due to a FIRE DRILL..NOT BURNT OR ANYTHING, BUT WET!!" contradiction to the max :-D END OF STORY

Tennis tournament at UWCSEA

went for a tennis tournament, only to be told that my partner and I (played doubles), were reserved for the finals (VERY IMPORTANT PLAYERS IN THE TEAM..LOLS! I KNOW I'M THICKSKINNED :-p ) but because of the wrong placements of the singles and doubles players, OUR SCHOOL LOST TO A SCHOOL WE HAD NEVER LOST TO BEFORE IN YEARS!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! AND WE NEVER LIVED TO SEE ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP PLACE THIS YEAR T.T

like the saying goes..."ALL GOOD THINGS HAVE TO COME TO AN END", and it did, in a good way though :-/ had an awesome time mingling with my friends parents, and even got to know that one of them is an ACSian!! Lols! gonna miss them all!
